The picture on the left is where the 173d Memorial will be built. The artist’s concept on the right is the finished product! By the end of April, 2010, the memorial will be a reality. Georgia Development partners will build the base. Columbus Monument will obtain and inscribe the granite tables, and Mike Elliot has already crafted the Herd’s "Wing and Bayonet."

Dedication is scheduled for June 1, 2010, but the work is not yet done. The memorial Foundation still needs to raise $50,000 to complete the project. If you wish to make a donation, please click here
